Regenerative and Protective Actions of the GHK-Cu Peptide in the Light of the New Gene Data
Authors: Loren Pickart, Anna Margolina
Source: https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/19/7/1987
This review summarizes published laboratory data on GHK-Cu, including its effects on collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in fibroblast models and gene-expression datasets in which GHK modulated large numbers of genes related to tissue remodeling, inflammation and DNA repair.
Synergy of GHK-Cu and hyaluronic acid on collagen IV upregulation via fibroblast and ex-vivo skin tests
Authors: Fangru Jiang, Yanan Wu, Zhe Liu, Minhua Hong, Yi Huang
Source: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jocd.15763
In human dermal fibroblasts and ex-vivo skin tests, researchers measured collagen I, IV and VII expression after combining GHK-Cu with hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights, reporting the largest effect on collagen IV at a 1:9 ratio of GHK-Cu to low-molecular-weight HA.
GHK-Cu may Prevent Oxidative Stress in Skin by Regulating Copper and Modifying Expression of Numerous Antioxidant Genes
Authors: Loren Pickart, Jessica Michelle Vasquez-Soltero, Anna Margolina
Source: https://www.mdpi.com/2079-9284/2/3/236
This paper reviews laboratory evidence on GHK-Cu’s antioxidant chemistry, including inhibition of reactive carbonyl species, detoxification of lipid-peroxidation products, responses in UVB-exposed keratinocytes and expression changes in antioxidant-related genes.
