Description
Tirzepatide is a synthetic 39-amino-acid peptide with a C20 fatty-diacid moiety that acts as a dual agonist at the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Peptide Partners supplies Tirzepatide in 40mg vials for laboratory research into dual-incretin receptor pharmacology and biased signaling.

Published research on GLP-2 Tirzepatide
The summaries below describe peer-reviewed literature for educational and reference purposes only. They do not describe uses of this product, which is sold for laboratory research only.
Tirzepatide is an imbalanced and biased dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist
Authors: Willard FS, Douros JD, Showalter AD, Wainscott DB, Suter TM, Capozzi ME, Cardona GR, Urva S, Emmerson PJ, Rosenkilde MM, Campbell JE, Sloop KW

Pharmacological characterization showed that tirzepatide is an imbalanced dual agonist: full efficacy at GIPR, partial efficacy at GLP-1R with signaling biased toward cAMP over β-arrestin recruitment, and differential receptor internalization. Ex-vivo pancreatic islet experiments and receptor-occupancy estimates were also reported.
Tirzepatide modulates the regulation of adipocyte nutrient metabolism through long-acting activation of the GIP receptor
Authors: Ajit Regmi, Eitaro Aihara, Michael E. Christe, Gabor Varga, Thomas P. Beyer, Xiaoping Ruan, Emily Beebe, Libbey S. O’Farrell, Melissa A. Bellinger, Aaron K. Austin, Yanzhu Lin, Haitao Hu, Debra L. Konkol, Samantha Wojnicki, Adrienne K. Holland, Jessica L. Friedrich, Robert A. Brown, Amanda S. Estelle, Hannah S. Badger, Gabriel S. Gaidosh, William Roell

Using human adipocytes and mouse models, researchers studied long-acting GIP-receptor agonism, measuring insulin signaling, glucose uptake, glycerol conversion, lipolysis, circulating triglycerides during oral lipid challenge and lipoprotein-derived fatty-acid uptake into adipose tissue.
GLP-1/GIP dual agonist tirzepatide normalizes diabetic nephropathy via PI3K/AKT mediated suppression of oxidative stress
Authors: Yan Tian, Ruixue Tian, He Juan, Yafan Guo, Pan Yan, Yao Cheng, Rongshan Li, Baodong Wang
Source: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1567576924023993
In a mouse diabetic nephropathy model and in high-glucose-exposed podocytes, researchers used transcriptome sequencing, Western blot and immunohistochemistry to examine tirzepatide’s effects on oxidative-stress markers and PI3K/AKT signaling, including reversal by a PI3K inhibitor.
